Baking soda or Bicarb soda

The other day someone posted they had taken baking soda in water to neutralise the acid in their stomach,I was told it was bicarbonate soda that you should take which is correct

Both, I believe, depending on whether you live in UK or USA!

It is actually Bicarbonate of Soda. BUT Baking Soda is made from Bicarbonate of Soda.

It is bicarbonate of soda. Baking soda is bicarbonate of soda but is mixed with flour

You sure about that Alan? Doesn't usually come mixed with flour?

On all the packaging I have seen , flour is one of the ingredients in baking powder.

Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate. It's 50 cents to $1 a box. Make sure you mix it well with water or it can make you sick.

Hi all. I was actually going to send out a post about "baking soda" in the US of A.

I am telling you - it is the ticket. Prior to knowing about mixing around 1/2 teaspoon into a cup of water (icy cold water is best if you like your water cold and it does go down easier) I tried everything - the cloroseptic spray worked good - but nothing works as good as that glass of water and baking soda.

As soon as you drink it - it is all better -- the burning you had prior - approximately 1/2 minute ago is gone and will stay gone.

Personally, I don't know what is in it and I do not care - after all we have been through - if something works to make us feel better - right - normal - then I am going to use it.
