BRAVO PH STUDY DAY 3

Hi,

Just looking for some words of comfort really!

I had a endoscopy & bravo ph moniter fitted Monday evening and the pain is just unbelievable 😩

Eating & drinking is near impossible as my ospheogas spasms constantly- has anyone else experienced this?

A number of things can trigger off the spasms, but significant though the findings of the pH monitoring might be, I think you should re-contact the hospital, tell them the extent to which this is painful, and they may well conclude that they need not continue with it. People do find it uncomfortable, but not painful to the extent that you describe. I do not think it will do you any good to have the spams triggered as your body is clearly reacting against it.

I have finished the monitoring today. So now I am just left with getting this thing dislodged! Drinking is becoming more bare able however eating is still a issue! The spasms are not as frequent now but they do come & go.

Just in case anyone is interested my bravo chip has fallen off tonight 6 days after it was placed, I knew immediately as no pain at all when swallowing
