Can you give details of the problem you are experiencing? I have Barretts but my main problem is hiatus hernia which causes food to "stick". I have been on pureed food, porridge and puddings for 3 months while I wait for operation.

I have been diagnosed with a hiatus hernia and Barrett's Oesophagus last November. I was very scared as I had not even heard of Barrett's and was only given an information sheet from the hospital and told to come back in two years for another endoscopy. I am on Lanzaprazole and just eat little and often and avoid what upsets me. I am on a brilliant group on Facebook which has taught me all I know called Barrett's Esophagus Awareness. I also find this group very helpful and friendly and have learnt from both when the hospital just more or less told me to go away and get on with it!

thank you i too was just given the leaflet and shown the door at hospital so will now join Facebook as advised
