Why I ask this is because I read a article in a magazine online that it can help with anxiety and ocd related problems. I know it is supposed to help to fill in the lines on the skin but it also can get rid of migranes.
I found myself intrigued by what you wrote, and checked online for more information, including the link you supplied.
It's already known that facial expressions tell the brain how we're feeling. So smiling tells the brain we're happy, a miserable expression tells the brain we're not feeling up to much. I hadn't actually thought about how Botox might affect this!
I've never actually had Botox myself, nor have I been tempted. I don't particularly like frozen, expressionless faces and don't want one myself! I've often noticed how much more attractive people are when their faces express emotions, particularly if they are smiling, whether or not they are technically beautiful. Botox may take away your wrinkles, but it takes away much that is attractive in someone's face.
So I'm a bit sceptical of something that takes away our capacity for emotional expression and could actually cause depression. But it could be worth considering as a treatment for OCD in some cases, if research bears it out.
Hi Surreylady I have had Botox in my bladder for 10 years once a year, it’s been wonderful but had it done in September and it hasn’t worked and I’ve been in constant pain and UTIs galore, don’t know why this should happen , sorry I can’t give much help but hoping someone will see my post and give me advice on what’s happened to me
