Severe back pain

My knee osteoarthritis is almost unnoticeable now after being diagnosed about two years ago. However, June last year I was diagnosed with MDS/MPN and a week later got a "slipped disc". Less than a year after that, before I had recovered, it happened again, with less of a cause, and then six weeks later, again. I feel as if my back is broken. Does anyone know why this is happening to me. The last time, I only bent down to wash my face!
