Good morning debkneeshurt, I am sorry that you are having to deal with the pain of OA. OA can become a debilitating disorder that effects many people and their families throughout the United States. The good news is there are several ways to possibly lessen or put a stop to the pain and suffering. I see you mentioned you have tried oral medications and they are not doing the job anymore. Have you discussed with your physician about the possibilities of trying topical medications and/or doing some kind of water therapy. I have heard good reviews from people who try aquatic exercises. I know everyone responds differently to different stimuli depending on the severity of the situation. I did come across an article, you may find a little helpful. Either decision you choose, discuss with your doctor about the pros and cons concerning you specific situation.

Hello! Sorry to hear about the pain you are having and that it is getting worse. I know it seems counter-intuitive but moving can actually help your knee pain. Perhaps starting with just moving more around the house or a 5-minute walk to get the mail and build up from there. Walking as little as 60 mins a week could decrease your knee pain in just a few weeks. The pain may not disappear but it may help you hold off on getting knee replacement surgery.
