Since I put in my 1st sick certificate it has been one disaster after another the 3rd one still had me on SSP & CSP it should be only, CSP the office girl said she sat for 2 hours and used 4 sheets of A4 paper trying to work it out, And in the middle of this am changing from fortnightly pay to monthly so when i get my salary tomorrow it is going to be double dutch to me, Is there any retired wages clerks out there that could help me or advise me what to do. our advice shops are appointments only and have a long waiting list dealing with all the DLA change over. By the way had three great days in a row no pain whatsoever sitting out in the sun and the correct p/killers. Matt

Hi, I am no ex wages clerk, but have recently retired and before that was on sick leave. I understand the SSP and am assuming that CSP is Company Sick Pay. If that's the case then, the following may be of some use as this is what happened to me.

My company paid me full salary for the first six months then it went down to half salary. Before the end of the full salary, I was sent a form that stated that they were no longer able to pay me SSP as they had paid all that they were allowed to pay. I assumed that I had all that I was entitled to even if I went to the DHS. To this day I am still not sure of the grounding so it would be interesting to see if I missed out on any extra payments.

Have you thought of speaking to the DHS about this as well, they should be better advised.

Good Luck.

Hello Matt

Just wondered if you were aware of the ACAS Helpline? It's a free, confidential and impartial helpline for employment queries. I have used if before and they were very knowldegeable and helpful. I will put the link to the ACAS site at the bottom of this msg for you.

Hope you get it sorted.
