Does any one suffer from Neckpain worse when trying to get comfortable in bed,lifting head from pillow is Horrendous when trying turn its so painfful and feels so heavy.

If anyone does, can they let me know as I am having same problem. They have just upped my MTX and will review in 4 weeks. If no improvement they say they will give me a steroid jab.

i had that and physio gave me neck rolling exercises and had to roll a hand towel and lay on it between my shoulder blades pianfull at first but after 3 nights...didnt have that pain again........................

I Bought a "neck suppoer/ shaped pillow from lidl, I believe argos may do them? it is not the v shaped support maternity pilloe it has an undulation. neck groove support in the type i bough, in the day i USe SMALL OBLONG wheat bag warmed in microwave around neck..

can you two lovelt peoplel dtech and blue tell me if either of you use biologics/ ant tnf? and also what title ,if you know has been assigned to your arthritis? eg ank spon, ra, inflam ra etx and whether positive or negative for rheum factor in the blood tests thanks.

I am on MTX, sulphasalazine, Plaquinel & Naproxen. Bloodtests seem ok. I went to a rheumy nurse meeting 2 weeks ago who suggested increasing the mtx. Very nice lady but seemed more of a box ticking exercise rather than an exam. She asked me to take my shoes and socks off at one point, so I did that, then after asking me another load of questions she finished and said come back in 4 weeks if no improveent. So I said what about my feet? and she had forgotten she had asked me to take shoes off!!! So didnt even look at them as it was 6pm and she wanted to get home! She didnt feel my neck, just asked me how far I could turn it. So no idea. I'll just see how it goes:-(( Thanks for the pillow tip. I am trying allsorts off different ones at the mo.

I have a mattress elevator that was supplied by Independent Living. Its fitted to the mattress, is electrically operated by a hand control and raises from lying down to sitting. They can be bought but are costly (around £40-500 I think) - but it is fantastic.

Thankyou all for your replies iam diagnosed with QA AND SOMEINFLAMMATRY ARTH My meds are Naproxen , pregablin,co codamol also I have Diabetes so lots more meds.Sounds wonderful Trianon will take a look! Knobbiy knees going to the hospital in march so will ask,alredy have had hydrothearpy for different reason.Will try that BLUE cant make it any worse thx.Know how u feel Dtech,Summer still partial mystery for me no formal diagnosis cant say if ill ever get one orginally i was RA POSITVE THANKS AGAIN PATX
