IT WASN'T ENTIRELY SUCCESSFUL, But thanks to everyone on here I got motivated to go. I think I'd been avoiding going cos i didn't want to accept that I couldn't swim as fast or as well as I used to. Well, that is tru, it was sore on many of my joints, but from a positive view I ddin't sink, and if I changed my stroke on ever length it wasn't too bad. So have decided now, that i am going to go every monday morning. My neighbour goes to the same session as well, so thats a motivator too.
Thanks for everyones kind words of support and suggestions, I am going to try doing yoga pilates and maybe taichi at home too, cos then I can do it as and when it suits me.
I have also swapped to MTX injections too, managed to self inject on friday, it was easy. Have felt nauseous on and off since, which is something I never had on tablets!!??? Has this happened to anyone else? anyway, we will see if this helps control my symptoms a bit better.....
Thanks again people, you are really helping me x x x

I changed from tablets to injections, because I was always feeling sick, my fear was that I hate needles!! I am just about to start TNF - more needles!!! Yuk
I haven't tried swimming, I just haven't been well enough to go, but it is something I am going to look into - I would like to try and frin a hydrotherapy pool!
Hope you continue to feel good and may be we will catch up again soon
Hi PJ88, the anti tnf injection is in the form of a medipen so it is not a long, large syringe unlike the MTX injections. It is very easy to use and apart from a slight sting, you shouldn't feel anything.
Fizzy, when I changed from tablets to MTX injections, I also had nausea and sickness but that did wear off and I rarely get problems now. I did last week when my MTX was upped to 20mg from 15mg and I felt very sick for about 3 days but the pharmacist gave me something to help - pepto bismol and that sorted out the nausea.
Well done on the swimming. But don't get too cold. Try to find a pool which is heated as that will help the joints as well.
