Hi I'm new to this site. I was diagnosed with 'Stills Disease' when I was 9 years old which has grown with me as I am now 30 years old with active RA. Taking sulphsalazine and recently stopped taking naproxen due to sideaffects. Not on any anit-inflammatory just codeine for pain, which is not much use.

Welcome to our lovely site. I don't know anything about stills i'm afraid, but i can keep your chin up when your having a hard time of it with ra as i have had it for nearly ten years. There are a lot of knowledgable people on here. You can rant and rave all you like here and let me tell you we have all done that at times. We share our good times as well as all the bad and we even have a laugh at the absurd of our conditions. So welcome and i look forward to you sharing your joys and sadness and the absurd as well. Hi,
I pricked my ears up when I read "Still's Disease"! I too was diagnosed with Still's Disease at age 6 in 1971. My rheumatologist recently wrote in his letter, " ...it was called Still's disease but the main criteria of this disease has changed over time and she has clearly got erosive rheumatoid arthritis." Hope you find alternative meds, but expect you've tried the lot!
Welcome to this friendly and helpful site, I was diagnosed with 'Adult on set disease' in 2010, aged 56. I was on Salfasalizine and Plaquenil, Ibandronic Acid since diagnoses, but had to stop Salfasalize as it was giving me Renal failure, sickness, since stopping it I'm so much better, but my Consultant has to find something else to replace it, I also have Enbrel injections once a week. I'm not sure if Salfasalizine did anything, if it did it was very gradual that I didn't notice any change.Hope you get the right medication soon, take care, keep in touch Ann x
