Delayed GP visit / delayed diagnosis case study request

A story recently went out in the media regarding the delay in some people going to visit their GP within 12 weeks of the onset of rheumatoid arthritis symptoms, the key period for offering the best chance of remission.

If anyone on this forum did delay seeing their GP until 12 weeks had passed and would be willing to act as a case study then please let me know. It would be good if you were able to say how you think this affected your RA.

Just as a bit of a background, the National Audit Office issued a report a few years back claiming that roughly half of patients did not see their GP in the first three months after their symptoms began.

If you're happy to act as a case study then please email me at andrew@nras.org.uk.

Many thanks.
