Hi Marnie, your best bet is to contact either your OT if you have one, or your GP. Your GP surgery should have a number for you to call in order to rent/hire a wheelchair usually free of charge for a certain amount of time. I say this because our GP surgery offers this service.
Good luck

Hi Marnie,
I have heard that the Red Cross loan out 'medical aids' - as it is only hearsay can't guarantee it but you could 'phone your nearest branch and ask the question if you have had no luck.with OT or GP.

I was going to suggest the Red Cross too - I'm sure they do this.
local hospital?
The red cross lady was so rude. Nearly had me in tears. I asked what time they are open and asked if they were open on Saturday's because I need somebody to collect it for me. Her response was I'm open tues, weds, thurs so no you can't collect Saturday. Which I thought was fair enough but then came her little dig "it's not my problem if u can't get here". Ok then. U old cow! just took me by surprise.
Sorry that this happened to you Marnie, how horrid
I had a completely different with the Red Cross.
I would try asking your gp practice as I know mine has a poster about this

Hi Marnie, almost sorry that I suggested the Red Cross to you.
Her attitude is not what I would have expected from a charity worker.
Hope you eventually sort it

I think Judi is right about the OP as They are the people who got a wheelchair for me within a week or two, I do hope you manage to get sorted very soon.
