i have got a weird cough. can it be caused through my drugs mtx or mayb i have just got a virus

A cough. with no fever or phlegm ie dry persistant cough and escpecially if difficult to breathe should be reported to GP/ Rheum team asap and futher medical advice taken as a precaution

hiya my cough is weird because 1 min my throat hurts and the next its gone and then it hurts again but i only cough every now and again if tht makes sense lol

understand now. I have the occassional tickly cough, happens maybe every other day but usually goes away if I suck a throat lozenge. However, as Alison says, best to get it checked out esp if it's persistant.

If you are worried in any way, check with your r/a nurse or doctor/consultant.

I like you have a cough, and will be having some lung tests and breathing tests just to be safe. I am on MTX and often do get some sore throat affects too. I have Salavex Pastels which help, or herbal sweets once in a while or water. Anything that helps use. As for side affects with nausia, you may need extra folic acid...........more than once a week.
