yes I've been on methotrexate since January 2009 and I've not had a period since December 2009 . I am 33 , my doctor about six month ago did a blood test to see if I was menopausal it came back with one of the two hormones that you have had stopped producing but the other 6

one was still producing but doctor said you can continue to produce this for up to a few years after starting the menopause so I have to wait another six moths now before testing me again. speak to your doctor about it.

oh thank you. i keep getting the pains but no period. i woz starting to worry. just wish i had been told this x

you should still get it checked out! just incase it is something else causing it can take chances with female health best to be safe xx

Hi Julie,

I'm 45, been on MTX since November 2010. Regular as clockwork beforehand but no periods between January and May 2011 then 3 in 6 weeks! Hormone blood test in May indicated high LH levels, normal oestrogen, but they could have always been like this, the blood tests are not a clear cut diagnosis for the menopause only indicative so need repeating after 6 months. Get it checked out but don't worry, frankly its the least of your concerns!

I am 43 on methotrexate and my periods have become irregular, so think I will ask for blood test to see what is happening next time at doctors. so good we have these blogs to help with things like this.

I'm having this problem too. I'm only 19 and since starting the methotrexate my period which was clockwork every 30 days hasn't appeared for nearly 6 months. Going to ask my specialist about this. Glad to see I'm not alone
