was on 15 mg methotrexate now on 20mg .after 3 injection started getting a we bit short of breath .had x.ray 4 weeks ago
Have you got your x-ray results back yet. You must contact your rheumy straight away and tell them how you are feeling.

no results on x.rays. i was told to stop methotrexate until they get results . anyway on no medication now an very sore in all joints .after 4 weeks
This exact thing happened to me when the MTX was increased to 20mg! It lasted for 3/4 days after each dose, so had to stop taking it altogether after a couple of weeks. At 15mg I had a constant cough. As Sylvi says,you need to contact your Rheumatology nurse straight away for advice (although mine played it down and said it was just a coincidence). I'm now getting similar problems with an increase in Sulfa to max dose and this is being checked out following xrays yesterday.

Please get in touch with your rheumy asap. I too suffered shortness of breath after being on MTX for 12 weeks and my consultant saw me immediately and stopped the MTX. I am now on prednisolone stepping down each week. My x-rays showed slight shadowing in both lungs, and was diagnosed as pneumonitis. A recognised side effect (albeit quite rare)
Now started on Hydroxy.

Please get in touch with your rheumy. I have been on MTX for a year & quite happy until dose increased to 20mgs then I became breathless, X ray shows shadowing over one lung. Now off MTX, prednisolone increased to 15mgs. I have to wait 6 weeks until MTX out of my system then will have to try something else. I can symphaise with you with increase swelling& stiffness. I hope you get some relief soon

hi all got to get another x ray tomorrow as the 1st one showed one lung shady .i seen my local doctor on monday put me on co- colamol.. will not see the rheumy until middle of next month . all my joints are swollen an some has rashes appearing ...anyone tell what they are ...
