Leflunomide: hello my RA doc prescribed me LEFLUNOMIDE... - NRAS
Leflunomide

Hi Lucy
Yes I’m on both of those. I was on methotrexate initially then with hydroxychloroquine but came off metho due to side effects. I then went on Leflunomide instead and got on much better with it. However after a year, my bloods were not good so I’m waiting to go on a biological now. I haven’t had any side effects from the Leflunomide at all though.
Hey thanks. I was on humira but had developed rashes had some bloody phlegm headaches and fatigue so go switched to enbrel and after a few months had a flare. Metho worked for a while but started affecting my liver. I’ve been at RA doc at least 3-4 times a year for the last 5 years. I hope this works out. I’m hoping to get to the point I only see RA doc once a year. I don’t want to take anymore injections. Basically I’m doing good. I walk at least 2 miles a day and have a healthy diet. Unfortunately I smoked for 30 years. It’s been 20 years since I quit. I’m getting stiff again. Maybe I shouldn’t have said that to doc. I’m afraid of another flare
Me too. Triple therapy with sulphasalazine. Worked for several years. No side effects.
thanks that’s good news. I have issues with sides effects on metho and humira and enbrel doesn’t work. Hydroxychloroquine is great but now I’m getting stiff again and afraid of another flare
Leflunomide made my liver tests go way up! I got off it after 4 months. Be careful
Hi LucyZuma
Yes, I'm on both Leflunomide and Hydroxy (and also Rinvoq). I have been taking this combination for years and it works really well for me with no side effects (except for a bit of nausea). Good luck with Leflunomide, I started taking it after I couldn't tolerate MTX and it's so much better (for me anyway)!! All the best, Christine xx
