I can’t lift my mug 😱

I just picked up my usual mug of coffee and my arm started shaking violently. I had to drink it with two hands until I’d got halfway down. Surely it’s not time for a china cup just yet (pinky raised, of course)? What next? Please don’t say my hair will start to fall out because it’s doing that already. 😭

I use a bone china mug at home, that’s my choice not from necessity, however I have real problems in Starbucks and Costa, their cups/mugs are too heavy for me to lift with one hand.

I love my thick mug but I always have to ask for cardboard cups if we go to Costa etc. It was like weightlifting! Today’s task is searching for a lightweight mug 🙄. I can’t do much else in this heat. My feet don’t seem to want to bend at the ankle. x

I take my own refillable, light mug to Costa. I get an extra "bean" for being green too!

I always use fine bone china mugs now as most other mugs are too heavy once they have drink in. Treat yourself to a nice one and hopefully it’s only a temporary thing whilst the weather is like this 🤞🏻

I use a lightweight china mug. One hand under the mug too. My wrist can tip a mug over at any time. As long as you can get your drink and without spilling it, it doesn’t matter if if looks different how you lift it two handed or whatever way. 🩷 I just don’t like Starbucks thick mugs, so it’s Cafe Nero for me as they have the coffee I prefer, but Starbucks have always had the better muffins! Gingerbread one always divine. 😍

Fine bone china mugs all the way....but I always buy Staffordshire mugs...got to keep the potteries in business! I went out for afternoon tea with my mum last week and the cups were the most delicate, beautiful, vintage china I have ever seen. The teapot however was soooo heavy, my 79 year old mum had to pick it up for me! 😂

My great grandparents worked at the Potteries so I’ll try and keep it in the family! x
