In April I was taken off the 25mg dose of methotrexate pen, down to 20mg dose m. pen.
Over the last few months I have been feeling tired, my joints various areas feel aching & seem to be stiffer. … generally have that feeling of can’t be bothered & that’s not me!
Can anyone advise as to what could be happening…. Or as usual it’s my age!!!
Be interesting to read any comments or advice.

sounds like you need the higher dose of methotrexate. Why was it reduced, did you have raised liver enzymes? Perhaps get in touch with rheumatologist and see if they will increase it again.
Have a word with your rheumy nurse….vague aches & pains affect all age groups,& if a drug dosage has recently been changed it’s easy to put the blame there.
But sadly as we get older I think the medical profession…like the rest of the world - think age can be blamed for anything.
But don’t believe it…some days I feel I can do anything…on others I just take a duvet day…but I still feel guilty if the breakfast dishes aren’t done by ….well any old time!
I dunno but I'm older and would say age is just a number I do more than a lot of people half my age despite RA. It might be worth getting a blood test for thyroid and B12 before just thinking its the MTX as lots of things can cause those symptoms and its better to be sure then you can ask with confidence for some changes to your current regime.
Sorry to hear that. I've been feeling the same. Mine, I think is due to having to take amitriptyline as I now have neuropathy in my right leg. Take care.
