Just know it is a JAK and also called Rinvoq but nothing more than it’s used to treat severe RA and PSA. Hope you are steady at the mo, but maybe getting ready your change meds? I recall the name Rinvoq when a new med for me was discussed last year as I’m due to change soon. It isn’t going to be Rinvoq though. Hope someone will drop by here and have the experience you need to know about it. Hopefully it’s a great med for many. Good luck.

Sorry mattcass. Another one I’ve never heard of. Who makes up these bl…. names anyway. Why can’t they just call them simple names RA1, RA2, RA3 etc. I don’t mean to be flippant but I’m getting to the point when I don’t remember what I’ve taken anymore and what the side effects were. ☹️

I have a good memory for many things, but as our meds have a generic name and brand names and more recently many biosimilar names ... it gets even more confusing! 😝x

I have been on it for 6 months now and I think I am doing pretty well. It is a JAK inhibitor which is a relatively new type of RA drug. It is also called Rinvoq. I have had a rough 2 years since MTX quit on me, and have tried 2 other JAKS and Simponi, a biologic.

The improvement has been very gradual, but I have come a long way from having pain in almost every joint and terrible fatigue, to where I am now, with just the shoulders and left knee now still causing problems. It is a once a day pill and I have no side effects.
