Ugh stiff again !!

Gottaloveastaffy profile image

Hi guys

Been very stiff and painful this week I think probably stress related in this occasion as my little buddy was sent on his heavenly way on Thursday 🥲 such a sad day Had to go back to work Friday and thankfully no one asked me about it

The pain in my side was niiggling me and rheumatology have advised to stop MTX for the next two weeks but continue with hydroxy to check if the annoying pain eases

I’m also going to be starting my healthy eating regime from tomorrow as am extremely overweight and i personally think it may be related to carrying all this weight around

So wish me luck !! I’m going to be cooking healthy meals as have been eating takeaways for months now and mainly pizza !!!

Paul is not able to work still and is signed off from Any work until the end of April so I’m hoping I don’t catch anything or get poorly as we only have my wage which is really hard as I do t earn a lot but my new job is going well hence another good reason to eat myself healthy

Have a good day everyone xx stay safe 💕💕💕

Hugs darling, have an idea how you feel except i don't have to work so i can rest. It is in my lower back and i have had a walk round the close to see if i can loosen it up and Bob has rubbed fenbid gel into it. You rest as much as you can darling. xxxx

Bob is a lot better now we know what is actually wrong with him. He hasn't had a stroke at all, it is all to do with his ears. Now he has to be reffered to a ear specialist to sort the problem out. I am slowly coming out of pneumonia and it will be a slow road to recovery darling. My back was killing me all day yesterday and i can't remember taking so much oramorph before yesterday. At the moment it is not too bad, but i have hardly moved yet this morning, xxxxx

Good luck with your healthy eating regime! I always think it’s a bit easier eating more healthily when the weather starts to improve (🤞🏻) and I don’t feel the need to hibernate and eat comfort food!

Good for you! It will make you feel better in yourself. We often feel like we have no control over the RA and related issues, so if you do shed some pounds it will help you to feel like you've regained a bit of control over that at least. Best wishes xx😊

Sorry for your loss and good luck with the healthy eating. I'm always better in the lighter nights but eat choc and biscuits in the winter. Got some frozen berries the other day to try with yoghurt. Feels like a dessert. 👍 x

Hi. I don’t think we’ve ‘spoken’ before. (Nice name by the way). I’m a doggy person. I love them all. (Eventhough i have a lovely chunky hamster called Eric!) So sorry you lost your ‘man’s best friend’. Always so painful. I was 10 when i got my first dog, Billy. (I’m 50 now!) He was run over, he was 7. Very sad day. We had to get another dog a few months later. (Bella). Poor Bella got cancer. She was 7 too. We had to put her down. I couldn’t face going. My lovely mum took her. So emotional when you lose a well loved pet. Stress can really bugger up the body. I’m glad i didn’t have RA when these sad things happened. The yr Bella died. I lost my lovely dad too. I was 17 (he was 52). Massive heart attack. 4 yrs later i was diagnosed with RA. I would have been so overwhelmed if i had developed it then. I know what you mean about putting on weight. Since i’ve started the meno bloody pause, i’ve been putting weight on more easily. I’ve put on half a stone. I’m the biggest i’ve ever been. Very depressing & it’s true. Your joints really feel it. Just try & think of nice things while you cook. Hopefully, Spring is round the corner. I might join weight watchers. Good luck with everything. You sound determined. I was good the other day. I resisted buying some Mr Kiplings. Bought yoghurts instead. Once your brain joins in & says that’s enough crap. You can get going on a healthier lifestyle. Maybe treat yourself at the weekend. Or you might not stick to it. Good luck x

Ugh it’s been awful the past couple of years lots been happening and to top it all my shoulder is really stiff today which isn’t helping but sounds like you’ve had your share of rubbish xx well done on the yoghurts !! I was able to behave yesterday so just have to put mine kver matter and crack in x I’m sure it will help xxx I think weight watchers is quite good for helping you choose healthy stuff xx have a good day xxx

Hey. I know stress can be a bastard for joint stuff. The weather can affect things too of course. I’m so grateful to the NHS for my treatment. I’ve been told it costs £10,000 per yr. So glad i don’t live in the States. I’d have to pay for it!!! Hope you start to feel better soon. Why not give yourself a tiny treat? Like 1 rolo??? Good luck x

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It is very stressful losing a pet. I know. It has happened to me several times. Maybe the people you work with thought it would be too upsetting for you to talk about your dog and that is why they said nothing.

Hope you’re feeling a bit better today. I know stress used to make me really bad. So much better now I’ve medically retired. Take it easy for a couple of weeks. Small treats always help.
