Swelling in ankles and feet

I have been having swelling in my ankles and feet what is the reason for this please?

How old are you? As you get older your ankles get fatter!! But swollen ankles can be a symptom of many things so speak to your rheumy nurse.

My ankles/feet are the first things to swell when my RA is active so I would let you Rheumatology team know.
