My daughter suffer with terrible stomach bloating. Her stomach can be hard when touched & she feels very uncomfortable & loss of appetite. Think polyp was mentioned when she had an abdominal scan before. We are wondering if it's due to the Prednisolone? She is on 20mgs. Any home remedies which will help?

Stomach Bloating
I had to take natural senna tablets but checked with GP too and it helped a little plus I reduced my dairy and carbs too when bad.
Bloating can often be from an unbalanced gut microbiome. I highly recommend a 7 day probiotic regime called “One Week Flat” by Optibac. You can get it online or in Superdrug. Amazing results! Wishing your daughter well x
I think a visit to the GP is in order as weight loss is mentioned. We're not doctors and the symptoms could be down to a number of things so a doctor is best bet. Prednisolone does cause weight again but depending on how long she's been taking it, it would be best to be sure before trying a home remedy.
It may or may not be related to a previous diagnosis but the only way to be sure would be for her to see her GP. Stomach bloating could be caused by a number of things not necessarily related to her meds, so before trying natural remedies it's probably better to have a professional opinion especially as it's uncomfortable for her & it's suppressing her appetite.
Hi Wangpaupau. I agree with medway-lady. I think your daughter should see her GP before contemplating anything else, especially as she has loss of appetite and discomfort. It may be something simple such as constipation but her GP should be the first step. What have they said about the polyp?
Hi I have just spoke to my go about the same thing, he said it could be side affects if Abatacept, also moving my vowels more , advised me to double up on omperazole and have bloods done .
