Taking methotrexate with diezepam
Always best to speak to your GP or pharmacist when it comes to drug interactions as it might not be wise to combine MTX with diazepam. Your GP can then discuss appropriate treatment for your neck and jaw pain. In the meantime, paracetamol and warmth to the area (wheat bay heated in the microwave, for example). Best of luck and let us know how you get on.
Hiya Msveris, welcome. The jaw, like any other joint, can be affected by RD. As such it's best to mention it at your next Rheumy meeting, it may not be as you think & tension. This may be helpful reading medicalnewstoday.com/articl...
Many of us are prescribed muscle relaxants alongside our RD meds, I am, though not diazepam. Can I ask if the diazepam has been prescribed since you've started taking MTX? If not it might be an idea to ask your primary if it's the best med for the problem, or it may be necessary to change your dose or even a change in muscle relaxant.
I hope it is tension & it resolves itself in time.
