It’s strange how we all have such different reactions..I had the AZ vaccine on 23rd..I haven’t had any drugs since my last Rtx infusion last August.

I have no reaction on my arm & no redness....but I’ve got a horrid headache, my head feels full of cotton wool & I’m nauseous & food is definitely not an option.

It’s much better this morning thank you..if putting up with a headache for a week is all I have to put up with to get some eventual protection from the virus....that’s OK with me 🤗

I had AZ on 23rd too. Off drugs for 18 months but recent mild joint activity. Spent day after vaccination in bed with flu-like symptoms. Exhausted. Felt as if I had a temperature, though didn't check. Following day much better and now okay but sleeping longer hours. Toothache at an old site flared up but now better. Hope your symptoms are better soon.

I said yesterday that I didn’t have any after effects. Spoke too soon. Slight nausea last night which thankfully seems to have passed but a banging headache this morning. To be honest I am not surprised as a headache is my normal reaction to most things.

Hope you soon feel better AC.

Thank you....Well at least we are not alone & both nausea & headache are noted as “common 1/10 side effects “...I too often have a headache as a reaction ...but this does seem to drag on...it’s my 6th day now.I felt better this morning...but now at mid day it’s back again .

But as I say it’s better than remaining unprotected.

Hope you feel better soon too...I’m using it as an excuse for on line shopping ...under the “you deserve it “ label! 👠

Sorry to hear that Vonnie but I’ve not had my jab yet so not had that experience. Were you warned you might develop a rash at the time the jab was given?

Don’t panic. It is nothing to panic about. Local reactions and things over the first few days are ok from what I have heard. They pass. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Unless I spike a really high temp I’ll just wait it out ......& shop!

I had my vaccine on Tuesday and have had no side effects at all. My friend did though, she had a headache, nausea and the shakes but only for a few hours. She said it was well worth it though and would not put her off having the follow up in a few weeks time.

I had the Pfizer one last Saturday, had tenderness around jab site a couple of days, that's all.

I had the Pfizer two weeks ago and after taking MTX last Saturday it seems to have affected me. I am getting awful headaches since.

Hi everyone, I had the Oxford one late yesterday am and by about 8 pm felt very achy and groggy, and alternately shivery and hot. I took my temperature and it was 38 degrees, which is apparently 2 above normal. Spent a feverish night (took some paracetamol) but after having some tea and water around 6 am, felt rather better and my temp had gone down to near normal. I have heard that a) the younger you are the more likely you are to get some side effects simply because the immune system is more active when young and b) that is quite a good sign anyway, as it shows your immune system is working and making anti bodies to Covid. Regarding Anti TNF injections though, I was pretty unsure about that too, as i had my last one on Sunday, but as others have said, you get very little notice re the vaccine date, so I decided to just go ahead rather than risk it being delayed. Hopefully Vonnie's rash will subside but it would probably be worth ringing your GP practice to see if they can suggest anything for it.

Ooooh.......I like that idea....maybe my immune system is 60 years younger than I am.....& is fighting fit after all?

I had the Pfizer vaccine this morning and touch wood I feel fine at the moment. I was told that people are reporting flu like symptoms and a swelling of their arm around the injection site. I had this reaction to a flu jab once had to sit at work for a week with an ice pack on it and felt very unwell. But it passed eventually and I just kept the temperature issues down with paracetamol every 4-6 hours. I wasn’t nice 🙁. After this years flu jab I found that the immune response made me have to go to bed for a couple of days as I could barely move it set off a mini flare but luckily it was only a couple of days. I’m expecting some increased joint pain later on coz I’m not lucky enough not to have something but you never know miracles can happen sometimes. The way I look at it is I haven’t had a severe reaction and I doubt I will now as it’s been a few hours and although the threat of the virus is still there the death sentence (hopefully) isn’t. So worth it to me it’s been a long year of shielding and it’s not going to stop overnight but I will hopefully be less stressed about it.

Hi Vonnie sorry to hear all this but I had a very informative conversation with my Dr today & she did explain you will probably have a reaction in some way & this shows your body, immune system is reacting to the the vaccine & to see it as a positive as your immune system is working!! Hope your feeling loads better now, I’ve yet to have mine, next week 🤞, All the best to you.
