Tocilizimubab and Covid vaccine

Hi everybody hope you’re all doing ok and keeping warm !!

I am on methotrexate and the biologic Tocilizimubab and should be getting my vaccine soon , has anybody had it on this combo and do I need to stop biologic before having it ?

I’m not on tocilizumbab bit Enbrel. My rheumy told me to stop this and MTX for a week after - but if course this is advice for me so always best to speak to your own team.

I’m on that combo, had my Toczilimab a couple of days before, chose to omit my methotrexate that week. Felt a little rough for the next week but back to normal now

My Rheumy here in Canada has told me that the moderna vaccine should be alright with the Tocilizumab. I am only on the toci so I cannot help you with the mtx issue. We currently do not have the Astra Zenica available in Canada.

Hello, I take tocilizumab injections. I had my covid jab on Saturday, three days after the toci. I have decided to miss the tocilizumab injection this week to give the jab a better chance of working in my immune system. I do not take MTX.

I'm.on tocz take it on a Saturday and I had my covid vaccine yday

Sorry I am no longer on either of those meds and I need to check with my Rheumatologist to find out if I can have the covid injection. Good luck, hope you are keeping well. Sue
