The occupational therapist suggested to me: an instant water heater (too expensive), a kettle tipper (tried it and never felt safe), a plastic jug to fill the kettle and only fill it part way (that works best for me). She also taught me to lift it with my whole arm, not my wrist. I'll be interested if someone can recommend a small kettle.
My OT recommended the small jug too.
In the past I have used a Breville hot cup but found that difficult as you still have to lift it to fill it. There are some similar ones that you can just fill with a jug. My mum has one that holds enough water for one cup and she fills it with a jug. I’ve mostly used a travel kettle as they are small and light. If I need a new kettle I also go to somewhere like Curry’s that has lots on display so you can try them. I find lids difficult too so it’s good to try them out there as well. I hope you find one suitable 😊
I fill my little hot water boiler every morning using a Light plastic jug....it holds 2.5 Litres ....I wouldn’t be without it.
In fact I have two...one in the kitchen & one in the spare bedroom for middle of the night & early morning tea!
Sounds perfect. Does it bubble away all the time? Sorry don't know much about them.
No...it just bubbles a bit when it’s used....it only heats up when you turn it on.....most of the the time it’s silent......one thing to watch is not to buy one that only dispenses a set quantity...cos if your
Cup/mug is smaller..you get a flood!
The only slight draw back is you do have to descale it every so often....but then you have to descale a kettle don’t you?

We've got a VonShef hot water dispenser which you can fill with a jug and it's great. The one with the rider (?) switch is easiest for me.
Hot water dispenser every time. No lifting No switches just a simple button. Even a button to lift the lid for filling
I have a Russell Hobbs water heater. I fill it with a small light plastic jug to fill with water, pop the cup under , press the button and hey presto....a hot cuppa. No heavy lifting as I only put the amount of water I need for my drink. Hope this helps, as I too went through travel or smaller kettles by the ton, as they never seemed to last long with me.
Forget a kettle....get a little water boiler...best investment ever...there are plenty to choose from on Amazon.,

I have a Breville Hot cup. It is great and I just fill it with a plastic measuring jug and press a button and my coffee is made. x
I use a Breville hot cup too. Best thing I ever bought. I also use a jug water filter that sits beside it so that is filled every morning and then transferred to the Breville. There is a dial on the top of the Breville for the size of cup/mug you are using and a button to press that lifts the lid so you can transfer the water. This means that the only thing you are lifting just once is the water filter jug.
I have a Breville Hot Cup. I can either fill by adding water by using a cup or small jug or it can be lifted to fill at the tap (but that weighs the same as lifting a usual kettle doing it that way, but when I use carers they can do it like that in the morning for me to use throughout the day)

I have the Uccello tipper kettle too. I feel so much safer using it. I do use a small jug to fill it though as I worry about carrying it full of water from the sink to its stand. It holds around 4 cups when full so is too heavy for me to lift
Hi, I have a hit water dispenser, mine happens to be a Breville, dispenses a cup or mug if boiling water in around 40 seconds and I never have to pick up more than a mug full. Had mine 3 years and it's been a god send
I use a water heater that dispenses a cup of hot water, can be filled in 1 go or use a cup as I do. Mine is a Breville and I've had it 4 years, so much easier that a kettle and much cheaper to run as well.
