Hi Does anyone get lower backache with RA

Yes I do. I’ve had physio etc. Saw a chiropractor you said it was caused by my right ankle. When I flare my right ankle is always the worst and I always get lower backache. This is me but best get it checked

Yes. Had an x-ray of sacroiliac area but it was 'normal'. It's awful in bed ☹️

I get it also and also a sore backside when sitting, I was told it was my si joints. However I have psoriatic arthritis so I think it can affect that area more ra.

Not from RA, No but from disc degeneration. Have you seen your GP about this as there could be lots of causes?

Yep. Its like a red hot poker driving through. I had a torn sacroiliac ligament in the same area in my 20s and the rheumy nurse said that RA/D often goes to any vulnerable or weak point of previous injury/difficulty (?)

Yes, worse if I'm sitting about, eases when I (gently) walk.

I have very bad lower back pain. At present it is about the worst it has ever been and is also extending to the bottom of my buttocks. I am finding it hard to stand up straight with it and like others have said, it hurts when sitting as well. Even morphine is not really helping.

I was told some years back that I have degenerative disc disease so I wonder if it is that. I am going for an MRI scan on the area at the beginning of March so am wondering what they will find. I also have PsA and fibromyagia.
