Turmeric/curcumin is one supplememt that does seem to have some effect for some people, particularly for osteoarthritis.

Interesting to compare all the different options, thanks
There is a good fb site with a lot of discussion that is useful.😊
I have tried both turmeric and curcumin without finding any difference - but my husband still takes the curcumin and the sticky yellow greasy stuff gets everywhere!
I tried turmeric and found no help. I now take the curcurim and I do believe it helps me
The effect of curcumin on inflammation is verified through decades of studies. I tried it for a period but didn't really see a difference. Perhaps I wasn't patient enough (?) What is important is that you take it in a way that maximizes absorbtion. Making your own golden paste is the best way I think. Here a link to science.
I take golden paste and it works for me on the inflammation but not as much on the pain side. As HelixHelix says it seems to be more effective for the joints with osteo ( in my case knees and hips) than the Rheumy affected joints but it has extended the gap between steroids injections to my knees so I'll keep taking it. Every little helps.
The only brand that helps me is one by Terry Naturally that also contains Boswellia. I’ve taken one a day for years and when I try to change it out with a cheaper brand, I definitely notice a difference in my pain levels.
There is actually research on that Turmeric helps with the toxic effects of Mtx on liver.
