MS and RA?

Anyone here got both? I’m not diagnosed with MS, but will be having a brain scan this week as I’ve been having neurological symptoms. I’m 49, so old for a first diagnosis, but then with hindsight I’m recalling lots of things that fit! Anyway, without jumping the gun too much I’m just interested to hear the experience of others of having both conditions, I have a close friend with rrms, but she doesn’t have RA. I’m oddly calm about the situation for now, just would like to be as informed as possible, Thanks x

I don't have both, but I was originally diagnosed with sero-RA in 2016. After 7 months of MTX I was undiagnosed in March 2017 and began another journey (you can read my posts to follow it).I am still undiagnosed, but it is definitely rare, autoimmune and CNS involved. I have also had provisional dxs of Neuro Behcets, SLE and I'm not sure what my records say now. I am mostly treated symptomatically while they narrow the options. Good luck on your scan. I just had an MRI on Thursday 👩🏼‍🚀Nothing like being stuffed in a long tube and being told to be completely still while they unleash a pack of monkeys 🐒 to play their 🥁 drum song endlessly for an hour on your head! 😱😂🤣 They had good rhythm so at least I got a short 😴.

Thanks, this diagnosis lark is hard work! I’m definitely seropositive for RA. Brain scan is tomorrow and I’ve opted for a sedative to take the edge off my claustrophobia! I’ve had MRIs before, just never head in! Hey ho, time will tell what’s going on hopefully! Thanks for responding
