I am wondering if anyone else on tocilizumab is having their platelet count fluctuate quite a bit. Some months my platelets are in the normal range, this month they are 60points below the low mark.
And what do you do to try and bring your numbers back up?

Is this the same as Xeljanz? I am startling this today, but my rheumy has told to start me with 1 tablet a day due to my low white blood count, and to monitor every week. I do believe it can impact, I would mention it to your consultant. My last blood count whilst taking Entracept was so low he panicked somewhat, even though I felt fine. So do check. All the best.
Hello dwsurq, There is nothing that you can do . I expect it is an effect associated with anaemia that often occurs. Maybe it is a medication side-effect but I cannot see why. This is something to ask your rheumatology nurse or consultant about. Low platelets are not good!
Surely they'd contact you if the level was so low to be of concern?
