No I have Cylindricaal Brochectastasis though. Yet another auto immune condition to add to the list, diagnosed by CTscan and a very good respiritory consultant. I've had genetic test because of it too.

I haven’t been diagnosed with this but am noticing some symptoms that have caused me to enter into a discussion with my Rheumatologist. Although he has been very dismissive and pretty much has said “these symptoms are very common”with RA. If you don’t mind me asking, what are your symptoms? Were you officially diagnosed with it? If so, were there tests?

Thanks

I've been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. I believe the first signs were a severe persistent cough. Abnormalities were first picked up by x-ray followed by a CT scan and lung function tests. Pulmonary fibrosis that's been caused by RA and/or associated meds is much less common than other less serious lung conditions. If you do have a lung disorder then it's far more likely to be one of these. Tell your rheumy you're worried and ask again for an x-ray, or better still perhaps, see your GP.

I tend to avoid pulmonary fibrosis topics, but have managed to pull my head out of the sand to contribute to this one. Think I'll be taking my leave now though...it's back to the sand pit for me.

I expect LesleyH will be along to let you know her experiences.

Hi I have had all those tests and more and they have decided that is is caused by the RA/methotrexate just waiting for them to decide what they are going to do now. What treatment do you take.

I didnt and still don’t have many symptoms just a little shortness of breath. Mine was seen when I went for an MRI on my back. I have had CT scans, X-rays, broncoscopy, lung function test and a lung biopsy
