Hi viv, yes that has been around for a while. It is extremely frustrating to have people think we ‘only have arthritis’. Lupus is not called Lupus Arthritis.

Not exactly sure what ‘rheumatoid’ means either! Makes me think of rheumatism which has just meant Arthritis to me all my life. I must look it up since it is why we go to a Rheumatology Dept.

Edit: did look that up and it is just a very vague and ancient term denoting very little. Rheumatology needs renamed too! Maybe Immunology? Immune System Diseases ...

autoimmune disease in which the body attacks the synovial fluid at the joint ends also can attack internal organ and eyes. Wonderful isn't it ☹😆

Actually ALL of the Autoimmune diseases are worse than most people can imagine. I was horrified when I was diagnosed and started researching... =)

Thanks so much for sharing this poster Viv. I wish we could see more publicity of this type. NRAS's Behind the smile campaign is great and really moving - this is another, more educative approach and I think there's room for both - some people learn experiencially and will take in more from a video and others learn intellectually which is when a poster like this would work well.
