I'd rather not miss a dose it's not as effective if you stop and start
I don't know if I'll get sicker if I do my injection ... - NRAS
I don't know if I'll get sicker if I do my injection I had a fever today
Hi, are you taking a Biologic or another drug? I can only draw on my experience of Biologics. My rheumatologist treats this subject quite lightly, he recommends I continue unless I feel really ill. However, a fever would suggest you aren't well enough - Biologics can mask fever so if you are hot, you might actually be hotter, more sick than you think? That's my logic anyway.
Bottom line: if in doubt, don't and contact your specialist nurse, GP if you're lucky enough to have one who understands.
I hope you get sorted and can inject soon. Very best wishes.
Hello Rich, that is something you will have to ask your Doctor really. We are not qualified and not allowed to give you answers to specific medical question like yours on this forum. I hope you'll feel better very soon. All the best.
If you are taking a biologic, do not inject when you are sick. My rheumatologist is very clear on that. Biologics suppress your immune system so you will be unable to fight off whatever sickness you have and you will get sicker.
