Thank you for sharing this as it sounds very interesting. Oddly enough, there was a snippet in a rival newspaper telling of research into using a part of scorpion venom to treat RD. It's so nice to be attracting so much interest. Let's hope all this research bears fruit.

I recently read an article on this in another paper. I found this one much more informative, so thank you for sharing. A neighbour and good friend is receiving this treatment from Barts for cancer, she is over eighty and amazing. It's hard to find her in, she belongs to 3 clubs and actively involved in them, plus an exercise class, she no longer drives as her legs are weak but she walks and takes buses every day. The infusions are every 3 weeks and very time consuming, plus scans, blood tests. There are side effects, her thyroid has been effected, she has a problem with her nose and hearing at the moment. The chemotherapy made her extremely ill, so it's wonderful to see how she is responding to this therapy. Reading how they are able to study our condition and hopefully with time, understand more about it. X
