Pain getting worse.
Hi - sorry to hear you're suffering atm. If I were you, I'd chase your appt: make an emergency appt with your GP today to maybe have a steroid injection to ease the pain and her them to ring the hospital to ask when you will be seen. Sometimes you have to jump up and down (metaphorically speaking of course) If you just sit and wait, they won't know how you are feeling- best of luck 😚
Thank u. Didn't know I could do that , as consultant said I have arthritis but still finding out which type & Not on any medication for it yet. Although I had a steroid injection last November
Well, in my humble opinion, you shouldn't have to suffer with so much pain so I would go to your gp- don't let them make you wait; tell them it's an emergency and get seen today. I've had to do that in the early days - you learn as you go along to be proactive and stay on top of your health protocol- after all - it's your body! If you wait; they'll wait - they don't know how you are feeling unless you tell them; don't suffer in silence.
Same as others Sally, 3 months seems long time to wait after initial consultation, didnt think steroid shot lasted that long? Don't beat yourself up about doing too much, we all do it, frustrating isn't it? Hope you get some answers soon x
I don't think it does. It's very fustrating especially when I've got 3 boys 2 look after lol thank xx

Yes I know it can be very discouraging sometimes. It's discouraging when you get the pain and you're doing all the right things. Playing with your children doesn't seem like too much to ask does it? My pain seems to be worse in the morning and then decreases as the day goes on. How about you? All the best to you and your family.
Thinking of you. Hugs
Hi- I’m so sorry to hear this, I have two young children so fully understand how hard it is for you. I have just started on a disease modifying drug 7 weeks ago which isn’t helping at all at the moment so seeing rheumy next week! Have you got any pain relief? I was initially given naproxen then etoricoxib but hurt my tummy and wasn’t cutting the pain enough so I find co-codamol is the only thing that relieves my pain. It does space me out which isn’t ideal with a 2 year old and 4 year old but I can’t cope with the pain otherwise.
I’ve also got wrist splints for when my wrists are really bad, you could try those? My gp gave me some. I also have a wax bath that I use on my hands in the eve & that helps for temporary relief.
They should give you some pain relief. Hope your pain eases soon
I think the hardest thing to get used to is that I can no longer do what I used to!
Take care x
I was taking naproxen but didn't help then consultant gave me a steroid injection & I've had nothing since. Didn't know I could get splints from my gp I will look in 2 it. Thank u . Hope ur having a good day xx
Hi Sally- i’m In exactly the same position- post half term flare- even though I scheduled things like swimming in my lovely warm hydro pool, movie,(just sitting right,?), a climbing session with instructor, i’ve Just spent the afternoon in the bath trying to get it together before pick up... sigh... hope you feel better soon, gentlehugs, xxxx Ness
Big hugs 2 u. Feel better soon xx
Hi, I have had terrible pain in right hip, found out it’s Trachanteric bursa. Of the hip, so painful, anyone else had this, I am on MXT weekly injection , folic acid and Naproxen. Makes walking so painful, so feel for all with hip pain,.
Also had a horrid week, spent Saturday evening in A&E, a porters truck fell off a large wagon and smacked me in the face, my Daughter was loading the van with furniture at the time. Big cut to eye and forehead also big black eye. Now have glued And sterri stip head. Very painful. So what with painful hip and face like I have been in a pub brawl, what a week.
