Well that's the thing isn't it . My friend went back to a job as she felt so well and after 12 weeks was so ill again with her RA .

Enjoy feeling well and having time for you and get help about your finances if you need x

Yup, my health became miles better when I left work. So chances are that they might have done you a favour. Yes, you're unemployed and skint but might that end up better than in work and sick & miserable? Maybe think about part time work for the future.

I still work part time but before Christmas my GP asked me to consider medical retirement. I said no as I still have kids (they're 17 and 7) to support and I love my job, yes it's hard but I really don't want to leave.

I had 2 weeks off over Christmas as I work at a University and we shut down completely and I've never felt better as for once I managed to rest properly. Today is my first day back, so we'll see how it goes over the next few weeks.

I got loads better when I was made redundant (after the initial horror of it all!). It was a horribly stressful job.

Maybe you're better off!
