....Being braless was talked about in Jacqui's thread so I just thought I'd share this tip.
I wear bras with no fastenings! I step into them and pull upwards. They're elastic enough to go over my sizeable bottom and then I put my arms in the straps and my boobs are tucked in as the straps go over my shoulders. If I'm having a bad spell I enrol hubby whose very willing to help especially with the tucking in bit!
They're very comfy, fairly cheap to buy and I'll never go back to conventionally fastened bras again.
The only downside for some might be they don't enhance your shape but I'm at the age where comfort always come first.
Failing this I just let 'em swing, especially in winter when big jumpers come out, no one knows but me!

Hi Jacqui, I know what you mean but you can get some with a crossed back which some women use as sports bras therefore cutting down on bounce! As a bra, or crop top, as they're sometimes referred, to cost under £10 it might be worth a try. I've even slept in mine when in hospital as it's so comfy.
Yeah, ive used these stretchy bras they're very comfy so i mostly use them if I'm at home or casual but for meetings. ..I bring back out the heavy artillery and get help with those flippin' hooks! M x
Hi Marie, yes if I'm getting really glammed up and need a bit of shape I can get out a normal bra. Did you know you can get magnetic fasteners which you can hook onto your normal bra. They are so easy they 'find' each other, click shut, without even having to look! The only trouble I've found with them I can't unhook very easily as the magnet is so strong!
I bought my first ones from Sainsbury's a couple of years ago at a cost of £6. I've since got 2 from BHS, 1 from John Lewis and 1 from Peacocks. Amazon do them and eBay, if you put in 'Bras with no fasteners'. My mother-in-law even got me a couple from the market! As you can see they are widely available and I have a wealth of them! Ha ha!
How supportive are these bras? I'm tempted to try one, but even the new horribly skinny me needs a DD cup, so support is a must. I'm used to being tethered in place by three hooks.
(I never imagined I would get into such an intimate discussion with strangers!)
I find them quite supportive though you might think they squash your boobs a bit. As I said above some women use them as sports bras but as for running in them I've not tested that as I haven't run for years!
I've just had a little bounce on my chair (can't believe I'm sitting here bouncing with my hand on my boobs!) but I'm not sure that's a true test!
I'm not particularly fat and in a normal bra I'd be 36D and they're fine for me.
(And I find discussions like this helpful even with strangers! Lol)
Em I'm a 36E.....I have only recently found these 'pull on bra's' and they are wonderful, no pain at all. As I said before they are like pulling on a pair of knicks.....with regards to support, well the truth is for a dig girl there is very little support but they tend to keep you in one place......does that help? I wouldn't ware on to a social event but under a coat or jumper no problem.
When I first started to wear them I was beginning to think I was 'letting myself go'....but as we who have RD know anything that takes the pain away is always welcome. Give them a go and if they don't suit you then no problem. I bought mine in Sainsbury's for £6.00. Try them and see that you think.
Thank you, Jeanabelle. I think I will keep to the current arrangement for as long as I can, while bearing these I mind for future use. I work 4 days a week and am not quite ready to abandon all attempts at looking suitably tethered!
It's bad enough that the Plaquenil weight loss has increased my tendency to feel the cold, and I'm now wearing thermal underwear - long sleeved vests and long janes under my clothes. Even my Grandma never wore those.
And there is the issue of footwear. I have never been one for heels, but now even shoes feel like bone crushers.

You're so wonderful! I have my 7-year old help me on the difficult days & when I need to wear one. These are skills he'll appreciate when he's older! lol
Yes Karen I know what you mean, my 2 sons grew up helping me and now my 4-year old grandson is in training! My husband can undress me in his sleep and doesn't know he's doing it! Ha ha how romantic is that!
