Early synovitus: Good morning everyone...could someone... - NRAS
Early synovitus
I have this and was told that it's the tendon sheath, mine is in both of my arms and produces some incredible pains in both my forearms, can take a few days or more for the pains to subside.
Good luck with it all.
Philip
I have that and didn't know it had a name lol
A lining of pain in my forearms. I've sort of got used to it.
It means that you have some symptoms of having an early stage of an inflammatory disease or similar. Synovitis means inflammation of layers of tissues in your body, could be as Philip says inflammation of the tendons sheaths, i.e. the tubes that surround your tendons, but also the lining of your joints. You probably know as it'll be the bit that hurts!
There are other reasons for synovitis, so it will be that plus your blood test, plus a physical examination that will lead the doctor to give you a diagnosis.
what you are all saying makes sense to me - it was only yesterday that the rheumyexplained that the swollen feet, pain at inners of anklesactually coming from probs intendons at heel .. Achilles i think. way back pre-RA when i developed severe pmr mainly shlders thighs and cdn't walk i asked my gp if it was anything to do with the turkeys.... as a v. mature student we raised these to get a lump sum for xmas and the last batch had similar symptoms cdn't walk . it was called synovitis. when he stopped laughing he said no but i still wonder .... any vets out there?. may give you all a laugh, at least. xox
