My partner had 2 Knuckles replaced 3 weeks ago and suffered a infection , what we want to know is , is it safe to shower and gentley wash the finger that was operated on because the doc says yes but the other doctor says no .

That's confusing for you both?! I do think though this is a question for a professional though, can you not contact the surgeon or their secretary for some advice?We are not really supposed to give medical advice on here. Sorry it's not very helpful, hope you get the right advice and your partner feels better soon....I'm going to need the same op at some point too. Good luck

I agree with 3LittleBirds2, sadly we can't give medical advice on this forum, as most would not be medically trained and anyone who was wouldn't know enough to comment on your case. So frustrating when they can't agree. I'm not sure which doctors they were, but if, for example, one of them is the surgeon and the other is a GP or rheumatologist, I would say this is more the surgeon's area of expertise.
