Hi There
I was Diagnosed with RA 1 year ago...and in the last month or two I keep waking up with Pins & Needles in either both hands or both feet or this morning Hands & Feet....Is this a part of RA as it has never happened before!
Kind Regards

I used to wake up feeling as if I was wearing boxing gloves....was related to inflammation in elbows and shoulders.....wore off after half an hour or so....
The morning hands & feet are usually part and parcel of this disease - and should wear off after an hour or so. It may be that your RA is evolving, which is why you've only just started getting this. It does change and develop over time.
In your other post you mention swapping over to Leflunomide - so maybe your RA isn't that well controlled right now and once you've found a drug that suits you better then your hands & feet will improve too. Most of the time now I only get a few minutes stiffness and fizzing in the morning, but if it lasts longer then for me that's a sign that I'm overtired and heading for a flare if I don't take things easy for a bit.
If I was you I would ring your RA helpline up and tell them whats happening just to be on the safe side. Don't want to worry you, but its always best to get things checked out that is not normal and its been going on for a while now. xx
