Rheumy Nurse has finally called me back after speaking to my consultant. I'm to move from mtx to Leflunomide. Slightly disappointed as I had high hopes for the mtx after failing on the ssz.
I'm to have one tablet a day for 2 weeks then if all ok, move to 2 tablets. If this doesn't help then she said anti tnf? ?? are next. Think that's right.
Fingers crossed this is the one ☺

Hi Tina, I was like you but injection mts but do to being made ill taking mtx was put onto Leflunomide. I have been on this for about three years and do feel better most of the time have had a flare but that's all. Hope it works for you.
I was on methotrexate injections are never got on well with them, my blood test results showed that it did not agree with me after very few injections, and I started to have breathing problems. Then a couple of months ago I went on leflunomide 1 tablet a day, and fingers crossed I seem to be doing better on it, not perfect but much better than the mtx injections.
