Humira side effects

has anyone had nausea, acid indigestion and feeling very tired after first injection of humira? Does it generally get better after a while, what have people done to cope with it? Thank you

I've just had my first injection of Humira on Thursday last week. I felt really sick for about 2 hours after the injection. I'm not really sure whether it made me tired as I'm very tired all the time anyway. With other medications that have made me nauseous after taking them I have found it helpful to take the medication just as I'm going to bed which is what I'm planning on doing with the Humira once the nurse doesn't need to visit to oversee me taking it. That way, I should be asleep before I feel ill.

I got a small site reaction, applied some Eurax antihistamine cream and the little rash was gone by the next morning.

Have been on Humira for 7 yrs, give it time, I havnt had any nausea, but I do get tired very quickly, but I put that up to the RA not Humira, stay positive and take advice from your consultant not the Internet. I looked on the internet when first diagnosed, it dd nothing but scare me.i find stress is the worst thing which effects my RA,

Family and friends don't understand, but who wants to talk about it anyway,this site is good to have a natter about RA and ask advice.

I haven't had any nausea but always take it just before going to bed so that I sleep through anything. My first 3 or 4 injections gave me excruciating headaches and neck pain but it's improved a lot now and I seem to be okay. I do feel more tired about 24 hours after I have the injection but am usually going to bed around that time anyway. Clemmie

I just started my humira and have done my 2nd injection ...both times I got a so so headache and yes I get upper abdominal pain which last for 2 days after my injection....hopefully they say after 4-6 times of using the humira these side affects will go away....I am doing the injection at night but still have the headache in the morning....and yes I to find I am more tired since starting this drug as well as more hair falling out.....but if it is going to make me feel better and I can start running again in the spring I am willing to put up with it....hope things settle down for you and it starts making you feel better maywing...have a nice day
