I am currently 26 weeks pregnant, and my RA hasn't gone into remission this time. I am on prednisone and paracetam.
Hello
Personally I would advise you to discuss your medications with your GP as one of your medications may need to be stopped for a while.

Hi Annie
Congrats on your pregnancy. How are your joints on pred and paracetamol? I stayed on hydroxychloroquine when I was pregnant and had no choice to take around 20mg pred throughout my pregnancy. It's tough finding a balance of being well and trying not to take too many meds. My obstetrician was all for pred and said healthy mum = healthy baby. I hate it when people say " you can't take meds when your pregnant" they have no comprehension of how ill you can be with RA. I would suggest if you live in a house that you buy a changing table and cot/ Moses basket for upstairs and downstairs. This helped my energy levels enormously. I also found a Bjorn baby carrier very helpful when my son was small. When he was a toddler I used a hip seat which I got from Perfectly Happy People on line. I passed it on to a friend of a friend with severe OA of the hips. I would chose clothes with elastic waists and avoid press studded baby grows. They really hurt my fingers. It's worth getting referred to an Occupational Therapist for wrist splints, night resting splints etc if you don't already have them. I used my splints for nappy changes and carrying and found them helpful. Also choose a light weight pram. I was offered a vintage silver cross pram which I could push in a straight line but not turn a corner
Oh! Where's the end of my message gone?
