What is RNP and what does fibro cup mean?

I'm not quite sure if you mean anti CCP or CRP, so......anti-CCP is an antibody for Rheumatoid Arthritis. It is present in most people with RA but not all. CRP is an inflammatory maker, usually raised in people with active RA. However, it's a non specific marker and other things apart from RA can cause it to be raised such as; an infection or another condition. There are no blood tests for confirm Fibromyalgia. Hope this helps!

Anti Rnp is a part of an ena blood test result and according to the lab result says is seen in mctd multiple connective tissue disease and in some cases sle have had no communications from rhuemy so was just wondering if anyone else has had this come back positive rhuemy has said she thought it wasn't an autoimmune disease even after the anti ccp came back low positive said she thought osteo and fibromylagia but now this has come back positive just dont know what to think a little confused oh well suppose someone will eventually let me know

I don't know about the anti RNP but have a look on the nras website about diagnosis and blood tests. I have to say that I thought a positive anti CCP result definitely meant you have RA, although a negative anti CCP couldn't rule it out as some people who have RA are anti CCP neg. I thought is was the RF that if it was positive doesn't necessarily mean you have RA. I may be wrong but have a look and see what nras say about the anti CCP. It is all very confusing and also very frustrating when you're trying to get a diagnosis. Let us know how you get on Rx

Just a thought, Fibromyalgia can be undiagnosed Hypothyroidism.

Have a look on the 'Thyroid UK' website on here - HealthUnlocked, to find it go to the green bar above and click on 'Communities' and post up about your Fibromyalgia on TUK. (I belong to several groups on TU, you can use your same user name and icon.)

I had Fibromyalgia symptoms, but luckily I was diagnosed firstly with Hypothyroidism.

Many people with Fibro/Hypo symptoms find it hard to get treatment as their bloods show 'within range,'

TUK forum members can help read your bloods and make better sense of them.
