Happy new year to you. Good news on your vegan diet....I went for a food sensitivity test a year ago...to see what foods I was mostly sensitive to and to see if changing my diet would help me in anyway. Everything with diary and wheat showed I had some sensitivity. I tried to change my diet for a few months and eat the same diet as my husband which was gluten and wheat free as he has celiac disease and I lost to much weight...I've always weighed about 8 to 8 half stone and I went down to 71/2 stone and looked terrible...I didn't feel any different...in the way of my arthritus. Anyway I see a dietician every so many months and I explained everything to her about this test as i really wanted to hear some positive feedback and she didn't agree...said there was no evidence that these tests work?...and her advice to me was for me to have diary products full fat milk for calcium and bones etc...and to try and put weight on. I'm very interested in how people with these ongoing diseases try and change diet and like you have explained has worked for your inflammation and less pain. I do think what we eat has some kind of impact in how we feel....if I could find a diet that suited me I definitely would be the first to give it a go...good luck sounds great best wishes 2014 Nicola
I'm too confused about diets. One of our other members has said that her fresh food diet is working so well for her that she has been able to give up all drugs. I eat a normal diet (perhaps too much sweet)and take my usual drugs, and I feel fine. I have no intention to change.
All the best for 2014. XX
