I have just read back pain. I also suffer back pain I have R A and pain in one thigh,how common is this.
I have pain in both thighs, although my right side is worse,,this is caused by arthritus in hips,,also have osteo in spine, plus ra in hands and feet,,, I used to take diclofenic for the arthritus which was fab,but have been taken of it now because i have to take hydroxy, so pain is back,,but i do keep waking as i don,t want to stiffen up, go out in all weathers with the dog,,also have copd, so walking does my lungs good as well
Make sure you tell your rheumatologist that you have back pain - it is possible that its spondyloarthritis rather than OA. Check out the signs of "inflammatory back pain" from the following link, and if you tick all the boxes, then do make sure that your rheumatologist takes it seriously and at the very least, orders a sacroiliac joint xray to rule out spondyloarthritis. nass.co.uk/about-as/getting...
Yes be careful with back pain....I have RA and also have had 6 corrective operations due to RA, shoulders, hips, knees.....mention this to your rhummy or GP....I've also had to spine ops, so you should have this checked out! my whole spine is full of Arthritis too
