Yes on many many occasions unfortunately but I do have other illnesses apart from RA, Diabetes, fibromyalgia and ME all of which can cause extreme fatigue, have you mentioned this to your GP as there Miya be an underlying problem.

I hope your feeling better very soon.

Me too, struggle with it most days. It seems to be at its worse first thing in a morning, I can sit on the edge of the bed for anything upto an hour, sometimes more, just unable to dress myself. Fatigue can be horrendous, that combined with the pain it isn't any wonder we get depressed.

Oh yes! Sometimes I find it hard to get off the sofa. I think the fatigue can be worse than the pain!

Yes, definitely, can really relate to this. Feeling even more fatigued now as waiting to start drug number 4. I've been told pacing is important, but sometimes get carried away and do too much on one day and then have an absolute slump & zero energy the next. I often have to lie down during the day to enable me to carry on later.

Yes, Yes, YES!!! It's the worse part for me. I have always been someone who never stop before using Humira I could sleep for the world! I could barely do one small task and lots of my days I just couldn't stop sleeping. Its fatigue like no one would ever begin to understand unless they actually experienced it. I now look back when I did thousands of jobs in a day and believed I was exhausted, oh how I wished I had those days back! Even if you feel better, with right medications if you don't listen to your body and rest RA certainly reminds you it's there! So yes you need to find your own balance but until I was prescribed I had no choice but to sleep. I really sympathise with you. X

Oh yes, I told my consultant that some days I'm so tired that even if my house was on fire I wouldn't be able to move off the sofa or really care. I have never felt so tired in all my life. I had four children, two dogs,a full time job, a big house to keep clean Ioads of activites, swam for a club, tap danced (well sort of!) I never stopped & loved every minute of it. In seven short years all that's gone. As someone else said I find the tiredness worse than the pain. x

Yes fatigue and brain fog, which in my case seem to run hand in hand I find this is far worse than pain caused by RA,. Like most of the people here I have always been quite active, even hyperactive, didn't need to sleep much and always had energy. When I first had RA before it was diagnosed I found it hard to arouse myself from sleep and then to get out of bed, but once I was up I would be Ok.

I am so tired and in so much pain that I don't know what to do with myself. I am making stupid mistakes at work which I know cannot continue, my fingers are so sore and swollen that I am finding it hard to drive. I hope Nice don't take to long to put me onto another drug, I have waited more than 15 weeks to see a OT about some splints to possibly help me sleep!

Oh yes indeedy. When I was first diagnosed with RA the consultant asked me about fatigue and I didn't know (at the time) quite what he meant when he said that some people find the fatigue more debilitating than the joint pain. And when it hit me for the first time, I really understood why he said that. I describe the times when the fatigue is at its worst as being like wading through waist high treacle with concrete blocks tied to my feet. But what I will say from my own experience is that at times when the RA has been under better control, the fatigue has improved hugely - and has gone completely for long periods when the RA has been really well controlled and I really do hope that this is the case for you sooner rather than later.

Thinking of you,

Tilly

Hi to all you angels

I think all of you are in need of a special gentle hug and lots of support from some very willing angels!

I send this special poem along with some of my angels to people i can't send an angel charm to.

When angels sense you need them

And angels always do

They come unseen from everywhere

To help and comfort you

They hover close beside you

Till all your cares are gone

Till they can see you're ready

Once again to carry on

Then some of them fly away

And take their gentle touch

To other hearts that need the love

Of angels very much

But one at least stays with you

As your constant friend and guide

For guardian angels never leave you

They are always by your side!

Print the poem out and put it where you will get most comfort from it, and when you feel you need their help, just ask for it! Whether out loud or under your breath they always come!!

Take care and angel blessings to all of you xx
