After tonight.....

I truly believe I will never smoke another cigarette

I was out for a meal for my Mams 60th birthday with all our close family attending. After the meal for "the smokers" we got a section outside with heaters and tables reserved for us.

This was the first time in 5 months that I sat surrounded by smokers blowing smoke, vaping and inhaling artificial smelling fruits etc, dumping half cigs in ash trays to run to the loo or to go out to dance.

The Nicodemom was unreal in my head - I really wanted to smoke....but I survived it, I am home now, free from all temptation, jesus, it was really tough and will be but I am getting there., feeling proud along with hubby (thank u!);)

Rowens... Well done !!! It is particularly hard to resist the temptation between other smokers but if you look at the mess and smell the ash trays.... Wow... I am glad I have stopped...

I had the same experience last week....also had dinner with family and friends in the smoking part of the restaurant...I did not enjoy it at all and could hardly breath... Funny how things changes !!!

It is true what you have said... I will never smoke again...

Well done both of you.

I'm still yet to cross that line, I haven't really been exposed because even the few friends I had that were smokers, they are all trying to stop.

My partner is the only one in my relashions that is still a smoker.

Even him - no signs of wanting to stop smoking - but he is only smoking abt 5 per day, not too bad compared to the 40 he used to smoke years ago.

Thanks Hercu and mmaya, so glad I have woke up today with just a bit of a hangover and not the disgusting aftermath of smoking!

PS Well done you too Hercu for last week!

Well done rowens, I know exactly what you were going through. It feels so nice to wake up the next day and realise that you didn't succumb.

Hope the hangover has eased!
