Quitting is a selfish process and don't you even think any different, go climbing rocks lol, whatever works for you :) when you need us, we will be here for you, have a great day.

How is quitting selfish?

In my opinion its better for everyone.

You don't intoxicate other people in public.

You don't stink like smoke.

You give more time to people because your spending less time smoking.

You live longer for your friends, family and children.

Smoking is selfish.

I would've climbed rocks whilst smoking anyway, lol.

I'm just munching on my plums! :)

Few cravings today but nothing close enough to make me give in.

Different angle all together, Ill explain myself.

Quitting is a selfish journey, you have to take your time and do your own thing, Dont think about anyone else, You come first. Whatever helps you to get through the process ...thats what I meant.

Be Kind to yourself, be gentle to yourself, spoil yourself, this is your quit, you deserve to have your own time. :)

I hope your day is going well.

Haha, the first time I tried to quit I had McDonalds literally every day just to stop myself losing the plot! :)

Climbing up the rocks sounds healthier lol

Hi all, well done. I'm on day 4 but as you're all just behind I'll post with you guys. So far not too bad on the craving front. Awful cough since quitting though!! Tomorrow might be the first real challenge after a few beers watching the rugby.

You'll be fine.you sound pretty solid...I don't drink but I read a lot of posts in this forum abt how it's not advisable to drink on the early weeks as you will lose the will power that you would have when sober

Thought I'd get on here tonight to make sure I don't stray.

Major cravings tonight, up late again as been crunching bills with the girlfriend.

Going to just get my head down as soon as possible and hope for a fresh start tomorrow.

Otherwise I fear I'll smoke one of the girlfriend's menthols!

I always hated menthol!

Night night, see you on a fresh day!

Sleep well, you have no idea how important it is to get proper rest, I wish I could have a good night sleep.

Hi everyone, i'm new here, on day two smoke free, really struggling, craving in my chest is awful. when will this go away! (i was 20-25 a day)

Welcome Kevin. It is by far the most difficult task I ever had to complete, it's not easy but it can be done. Deep breaths, buckets of water read, read loads about the other people's experiences and write in here as often as you can. Positive re-enforcement all the time, rant, shout...ask for a hug but do not smoke ;) you can do this! Stay well.
