3 Years and 8 Days later...

Do you know, I nearly didn't even remember to come on and post. It's been just over 3 years now as you can see from the title, and I almost completely forgot about it.

Even after a year, I used to check the app on my phone, have a look probably once a day, maybe more. Don't know why, I just did. Now, I bet I log onto that app about once every 2 months.

So, what should we learn from that? I guess it's that smoking really is nothing more than addiction. Both physically and mental addiction. Once you can truly break that cycle, you're on your way.

I don't really know what the answer is for people that have been struggling long term with quitting. I think the biggest obstacle is yourself. You haven't quite realised yet, just what you're capable of. You can quit, you definitely can. Prove yourself wrong and quit. That will show you who's boss!

But seriously, I really hope people can manage to stay off the stupid things. Doesn't matter if you've tried and failed 100 times, it's what you do today that matters. Genuinely now, you'd be surprised what you're capable of when you put your mind to it.

Good luck everyone.

Thanks Ets147, poster like yourself is what gives us newbie quitters hope for a future so far removed from cigarettes that we don't even think about them anymore. Thanks for remembering to come back and post on your quit anniversary, see you at 4 years hopefully next August 5th.
